
Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. These graphics present complex information quickly and clearly, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, and education.

We love reading charts and graphs to get information. A document is more likely to be noticed when accompanied by colorful graphics. There are many infographics that are very helpful such as the food pyramid, but there are also some out there that make you scratch your head. Who wouldn’t want to gain important information such as: The percentage of people texting while on the toilet, Geek vs Nerd or The Anatomy of a Hangover through colorful, pretty pictures? With that said, consumers do love their infographics and they can be very informative and great marketing tools.
